Unlike some commentators, I remain convinced that"Happiness Therapy" is without a doubt not only the best film of the year exaequo with "Django"(certainly not in all cases, "Love", "Lincoln", "Argo" or "Zero Dark Thirty", all 4 as boring as a rainy day...), but also full of originality and inventiveness. My sense is that ever a film had not yet told in a way as exciting and moving story of two persons with psychiatric disorders, helping each other and eventually fall in love to one another. This romantic comedy is immediately installed in the firmament of the greatest films of the genre like "You have a message" or "Love Actually". In addition, I don't really see how the talented David O Russell, director of the powerful "Fighter" could suddenly suffer from lack of creativity.... And then, frankly, how not to get carried away by this firework of dialogues we oscillate constantly between laughter and tears;a bit like bipolar what! Ah! Ah! As for the game actors, it seems evident that perfection has been reached. Fortunately, the wonderful Jennifer Lawrence got an Oscar more than deserved, but B. Cooper, R. DeNiro, C. Tucker, and J. The scenario is particularly well-balanced and never too much. It also smells the sympathy and ridicule natural, typical of the patriotism of English (in the good sense of the term) to its heroes, to shine through the movie to exorcise the dearest wish of every subject of her Majesty : to see a British triumph again at Wimbledon. All of this is filmed with a rare, natural, that a lack of French films in this kind of cinema.
